Brainerd, Elijah, 1757-1828.
Elijah Brainerd was born in Haddam, Connecticut on October 25, 1757. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1785 and was called to Randolph, Vermont on September 6, 1786 to become the first minister to the newly formed Congregational church. He remained in Randolph until January 4, 1798. He died May 23, 1828 in Warrenton, North Carolina.
