Baron, Virginia Olsen
Virginia Olsen Baron was born in 1931 in Wilkes-Barre, PA. She attended Beaver College (now Arcadia University) from 1949-1951. In addition to being a writer and editor of poetry, Baron has also been chairman of the Children's Program series at Columbia University (1956-1958), president of Greenhouse Nursery School (1957-1958), a radio producer (1960-1961), publicity director for a publisher (1962-1964), and member of the board of directors of Columbia Press beginning in 1963.
