Hide Profile

The origins of this branch of the Ault family started in 1881 when two of Nicholas Ault's sons, John and Charles, traveled across Canada to Pembina County in Red River Valley of the North. They were traveling from the St. Lawrence River Valley in Ontario, Canada. After scoping out the land, they returned to Canada and most of the Ault family members followed them back to Pembina County to begin a new life. More information regarding the Ault family can be found in the book Dakota Pioneers: The John and Annie Ault Family of Pembina County, Dakota Territory or in this collection.
