Fisher, Genevieve

Home economics college dean, teacher education expert. Genevieve Fisher was Dean of the Iowa State College Division of Home Economics, 1927-1944. Prior to her deanship, she was a home economics instructor, 1914-1919. In 1919 Fisher became employed by the U.S. Board of Vocational Education in Washington, D.C. (1919-1922). She then worked at the Carnegie Institute of Technology at Pittsburgh, directing the home economics education program for teachers-in-service for western Pennsylvania.
