Lukoff, Herman, 1923-1979.

Herman Lukoff was a pioneer in the computer industry. He was educated in the Philadelphia public school system and attended the Moore School of Electrical Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania. Just after graduating in 1943, Lukoff joined J. Presper Eckert and John W. Mauchly, to work on the ENIAC computer. After serving in the navy, Lukoff joined the Eckert-Mauchly Computer Corporation which was bought out by the Remington Rand (later the Sperry Rand) Corporation. Lukoff continued his career with Remington Rand working on the UNIVAC. Lukoff's career continued at Sperry Rand until his death in 1979.
