Holmes, Elkanah
Missionary to the Tuscarora and Seneca Indians, sent by the New York Missionary Society in 1800. He resigned in 1807 or 1808, and then worked as an itinerant Baptist preacher. Holmes was the father-in-law of Cyrenius Chapin.
