Non-profit organization incorporated in 1958 consisting of representatives from federal, state and private organizations concerned with conservation in Iowa. Purpose is to encourage and lead the development and practice of a widespread and effective conservation education program in the state. Works closely with public schools and the Iowa Dept. of Public Instruction. Holds annual meetings and fall workshops for teachers. Formerly known as the State Conservation Education Conference. Published "Conservation source book" 1962.
