Scofield, William Rodney
Variant namesLieutenant William S. Scofield was a member of Company A, 137th Regiment, New York Volunteers. He marched with the Union forces from Atlanta to Savannah. After capturing Savannah, his company remained in the city about a month before being ordered to pursue the Confederate General Joseph Johnston in South Carolina.
