Hart, Adeline Chase, 1826-1905
Adeline Chase was born in Connecticut in June 1826, the daughter of Lucy Chase. On October 23, 1845, she married Matthew Rice Hart of Goshen, Connecticut, the son of Betsey Hart. They had two children: Reuben (b. 1847) and Marion. Matthew Hart joined the Hartford Union Mining and Trading Company on its voyage to California in February 1849, and died in 1853. Adeline Chase Hart lived in Goshen, Connecticut, until her death in November 1905.
