Patrick Allan Grant, after having been appointed by Governor Ronald W. Reagan to be president of the California State Board of Agriculture, served as a member of the University of California Board of Regents in an ex-officio capacity. Grant's tenure ended in 1974, when the passage of Proposition 4 eliminated ex-officio Board of Regents seats. Grant served on Audit, Buildings and Grounds, and Special Projects Committees during his regency.
