Variant namesEdmund Cooper (b. 1894 in York) was educated at Ackworth, a Quaker school in Yorkshire. He served with the Friends' Ambulance Unit on the Western Front at Hazebrouck and Poperinghe from Jan. 1915, and on No. 16 Ambulance Train, 1916-1918.
