Lyman Atkinson Cotten (1874-1926) was a United States naval officer. He was educated at the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, Md., 1894-1898, and participated in the Spanish-American War, Philippine insurrection, Boxer Rebellion, and the Naval War College, and served in Japan, China, World War I, and conflicts in the Near East. His wife was Elizabeth Brownrigg Henderson Cotten of Salisbury, N.C.
