Juergens, Alfred, 1866-1934.
Variant namesAlfred Juergens was born in Chicago in 1866. He studied at the Academy of Design in Chicago, the Royal Academy in Munich, and in Paris (1889-1893). Established in Oak Park, Ill. by the turn of the century, Juergens participated in annual exhibitions at the Art Institute of Chicago from 1899-1929. He painted still life and landscape subjects in oil, watercolor and pastel.
