Dortzbach, Deborah
Variant namesMissionary nurse; born September 7, 1949; graduated from Columbia University School of Nursing (1971), Emory University School of Nursing (1990) and Emory University School of Public Health (1990); worked in Ethiopia with Orthodox Presbyterian Church (1973-1974), during which time she was kidnaped by Eritrean rebels and held for twenty-six days; co- authored the book KIDNAPED with her husband about her experience; worked in Kenya (1981- ) under the Presbyterian Church in America's mission board as a community health nurse and trainer.
