McCall, Chester H.
Chester H. McCall served as Assistant Secretary of Commerce (1933-1937) under Daniel C. Roper in the Franklin D. Roosevelt Administration. While in the Department of Commerce, McCall headed up the administrative, public relations, and publications efforts of the department's Bureau of Foreign and Domestic Commerce, National Bureau of Standards, and Bureau of Air Commerce. He was also a member of the Executive Board of the National Youth Administration, secretary of several Cabinet committees, and represented Commerce in several inter-departmental committees.

Assistant Secretary of Commerce, 1933-1936, under Daniel C. Roper, in charge of public relations and publications. McCall previously worked for Chase Manhattan Bank, the American Bankers' Association and the National Association of Credit Men. In 1934 he founded the National Institute for Public Affairs. He was also on the Executive Committee of the National Youth Administration and was later executive vice-president of the U.S. Advertising Corporation.
