Portland Railroad Company

Portland and Forest Avenue Railroad Company, Portland, Me., a street railroad, was incorporated in 1860; changed its name to Portland Railroad Company in 1869; in 1927 became a division of the Cumberland County Power and Light Company. Portland and Cape Elizabeth Railway Company, also a street railroad company, was acquired by Portland Railroad Company in 1899.
