This office provided agency-wide guidance and direction for the CSA by receiving recommendations for agency policies and goals and coordinating these recommendations with findings derived from evaluations and by providing the director with coordinated policy recommendations. The office provided for the measurement and evaluation of the impact of programs authorized by Title IX of the Economic Opportunity Act and of the poverty related programs authorized by other acts. The office conducted and was responsible for all agency evaluations as consistent with the Economic Opportunity Act and for the development of agency-wide short-term and long-range plans for future program policy directions.
