Bentham, Robert
Robert Bentham served as geologist on the Oxford University Ellesmere Island Expedition, 1934-1935 (leader Noel Humphreys) conducting surveys and geological work in the Bache Peninsula area with his colleague, Edward Shackleton. After the expedition, he returned to Canada to spend two more seasons working in Ellesmere Island from a base in Craig Harbour. He later served as geologist with the Burmah Oil Company. He died on 10 August 1968 in London.
