Faith’s first services were held in a log cabin in Anderson Park. Many of the charter members were true pioneers of this beautiful wilderness country so “far” from bustling, mature Seattle. Organization as a full member congregation occurred on All Saints Sunday, November 2, 1947. Fifty-three adults and ten children were received as members. A former church that had become a private residence was remodeled to serve as a place of worship, being dedicated in May of 1950. The congregation entered their present building on April 3, 1960. In the spring of 1976 work began to enlarge the sanctuary and narthex, work which was completed that fall. In July of 1979 Faith hired a full-time lay Director of Education and youth leader. In 1982 Faith Lutheran School opened for grades K-3. Faith entered another building program in 1984 to create a new and larger sanctuary, provide space for the expansion of the school and increase facilities for church and community activities.
