Richardson, J. Francis (John Francis)

John Francis Richardson was an engraver in Portland, Maine and friend of Charles Collins Rounds. During the summer of 1856 he moved from Portland to Boston, Massachusetts.

Charles Collins Rounds, son of Nathaniel and Betsey Brown Rounds, taught school, went to Dartmouth College for 2 years, and then taught school again. As a teacher he boarded at the house of William Stowell in South Paris. He fell in love with Kate Stowell and eventually married her. He was the editor of the Spectator in South Paris during the time of the letters. He became principal of the State Normal School at Farmington, Maine.
