Armand Hammer Museum of Art and Cultural Center was founded by Armand Hammer, former chairman of the Occidental Petroleum Corporation. The Museum opened to the public in November 1990. UCLA assumed management of the museum in 1994. The collections of the Frederic S. Wight Art Gallery and the Grunwald Center for the Graphic Arts were relocated to the Armand Hammer Museum of Art and Cultural Center in 1995.
