Harold L. Clark (b. Sept. 28, 1893, Stillwater, Minn.-d. Aug. 23, 1973), U.S. Air Force officer, enlisted in the Signal Corps Reserve in 1917 as a flying cadet and the following year was appointed a second lieutenant. He served as a flying instructor and Supply Officer before becoming Commanding Officer of the 20th Aero Squadron at Kelly Field, Texas. During the 1920s and 1930s, he undertook special engineering instruction, served with the 65th Service Squadron and the 6th Pursuit Squadron in Hawaii, and held other positions as Assistant Engineering Officer, Transportation Officer, and Liaison Officer. During World War II, he assumed command of the 52nd Troop Carrier Wing, Army Air Base, Pope Field, N.C., and in 1943 was assigned to duty with a Troop Carrier Wing in the North African Theater of Operations. He retired in August 1946.
