Lieutenant Farley Rippon Sweat Jr. (1841-1879) was an accountant and cotton factor from Savannah, Georgia. He served in Co. C, 18th Battalion, also known as the Savannah Volunteer Guards, of the Georgia Volunteer Infantry of the Confederate army during the United States Civil War. After the war, Sweat was a member of the Metropolitan Steam Fire Engine Company, a Freemason at Solomon's Lodge No. 1, and a member of the Union Society. His wife, Arabella "Belle" Hardee Sweat (b. 1847), was originally from Hardeeville, South Carolina.
