Allen, Annie Winsor, 1902-
The daughter of Annie Ware Winsor Allen, Annie Winsor Allen attended Radcliffe College (A.B. 1924, A.M. 1930) and received her doctorate from the Sorbonne in 1958. An educator and administrator, Allen was headmistress of Girls Latin in Chicago, Illinois, dean at Fisk University in Nashville, Tenn., and chair of the humanities department at Bennett College in Greensboro, North Carolina.
