John Klorer, born Nov. 25, 1874, in New Orleans, graduated with the Tulane University Class of 1895 in civil engineering. He worked as an engineer in Louisiana in various capacities beginning in 1895. He was a chief engineer with the Levee Board in New Orleans (1930-1934), chief engineer with the State of Louisiana (1935-1936), and consulting and planning engineer with the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans. He was married and had two children.
