Moore, J. Wayne (James Wayne).
J. Wayne Moore was president of the Class of 1901. Members of this class returned late from the Christmas holidays and consequently were forced by President Lyman Hall to attend six weeks of classes in the fall. Their graduation was postponed until November 1901. The Insubordinate Seniors held frequent reunions.

J. Wayne Moore, president of the class of 1901, also played center field on the baseball team. After graduation, he worked for Atlanta Utility Works in East Point and resided in College Park, Georgia. He had at least one child, James Wayne Moore, Jr., who graduated from Georgia Tech in 1928.
