Gorey, Edward

Edward Gorey was born February 22, 1925, in Chicago, Ill, and died April 15, 2000, in Hyannis, MASS. He followed a career as author, illustrator, and designer. His books for children are generally regarded as nonsense fiction, while his writing for adults is more satirical. He is better known, however, for his illustrations.
