The Central Michigan University (CMU) Student Council existed from 1924 until 1947. It evolved into the Student Senate in 1948, which later became the Student Association, and then the Student Government Association (SGA). The purpose of SGA is to serve as a liaison between students and the administration and have an active voice in student government affairs. Additional CMU.SGA collections are separately cataloged.
