Middleton, Annie L., d. 1958
Raised in Austin, Texas, Annie L. Middleton (d. 1958) received her bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees from the University of Texas at Austin.
A professor of modern languages, Middleton taught at several colleges and universities, including Howard Payne College, Southwest Texas State (now Texas State University), and Baylor University. Middleton also researched and wrote on topics pertaining to Texas history and government, including The Texas Convention of 1845, published in the Southwestern Historical Quarterly (1921).
