John K. Foulkrod of Philadelphia, Pa., received his M.D. from the Medical Department of the University of Pennsylvania in 1879. He was precepted by Jno. C. Hall and wrote his thesis on the physiological action of ipecacuanha and its alkaloids. At Commencement he was awarded the Anatomical Prize for the best record anomalies found in the University's dissecting rooms. Foulkrod set up private practice in Philadelphia. He last appears in contemporary medical directories in 1886. He is known to have died before 1922. No further information on Dr. Foulkrod could be located.
