Alliance of women's clubs of Washington State founded in 1896. Since 1995 it has been known as the General Federation of Women's Clubs -- Washington State. The organization was established at a statewide convention of women's clubs called by the members of the Aloha and Nesika clubs of Tacoma. It is a member of The General Federation of Women's Clubs, International, the world's largest and oldest nonpartisan, nondenominational volunteer service organization for women, founded in 1890.
