Montpelier Park Commission (Montpelier, Vt.)
The Montpelier Park Commission was created in 1906 due to a suggestion in the will of John Hubbard. In that year, Mr. Hubbard willed to the city of Montpelier most of the land now known as Hubbard Park, along with funds for establishment and maintenance of the park. There are five elected commissioners who function as an official part of the city government.
