Yarulis, Stanley.

Stanley Yarulis grew up in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Elizabeth High School in 1944. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the 475th Infantry Regiment. Yarulis was sent to Fort Riley, Kansas, and was attached to a mounted cavalry unit and later underwent infantry training. He was then sent to California to board the USS Anderson in September 1944 for service overseas. Yarulis became a member of Merrill's Marauders in the China-Burma-India Theater. While stationed in Burma, Yarulis was assigned as assistant to the Browning automatic rifle man. In 1946, Yarulis was discharged.
