Pi Kappa Lambda. Theta Chapter (Oberlin College)
Variant namesThe Theta Chapter of the honorary national musical fraternity, Pi Kappa Lambda ("Try To Grasp Things Beautiful"), was installed at Oberlin College in 1927; it was the eighth chapter to be established nationally. Its purpose remains the promotion of musical education and excellence in performance and composition. The national organization was founded in 1918 at Northwestern University.
