Martini, Nicholas, 1904-1991.
Nicholas Martini (1904-1991) earned an LLB from the New Jersey Law School in Newark (now Rutgers) and practiced before all Courts of New Jersey as well as the US Supreme Court. He ran for City Commissioner of Passaic in 1931, losing by 800 votes, but running again and winning in 1935. He served 5 terms as Commissioner. He was also elected to the Passaic County Board of Freeholders, appointed Director of the Board of Freeholders, appointed to the County Council in 1943 and elected Mayor of Passaic that same year. Martini continued to take part in political activities until his death in 1991.
