Harry Clifford Asbury, Sr. was born in 1887. He served in the United States Navy from 1908 to 1915, and then was employed by the New England Telephone and Telegraph Company of Boston, Mass. until his retirement in 1952. He was interested in the history of Methodism and in the life and work of Bishop Asbury, and attempted to find what lineal connections there might be between himself and the Bishop. He died in 1971 or 1972.
