Goodnight family.
Biographical note: Isaac Herschel Goodnight served in the United States House of Representatives (1889-1895) and was elected judge of the Seventh Kentucky Circuit in 1897, where he served until his death in 1901. His wife, Ella Hoy Goodnight, was active in community affairs, including a local music club, the Presbyterian church, and the Missionary Society. The Goodnights had one son, Isaac Hoy, who became a local judge. The Goodnight Memorial Library in Franklin, Kentucky is named for the Goodnight family.
