World Affairs Center (Springfield, Ill.)
Established in 1962 in Springfield, Illinois as the Peace Information Center, by the First Methodist Church and the Springfield Council of Churches to make available literature, speakers and programs and to promote peace efforts in the United States and United Nations. The group became the World Affairs Center in in 1965 and concentrated on the study of public affairs. The organization dissolved in 1975.
