Eastern Farm Workers Association is a free and voluntary unincorporated association compromised of migrant and seasonal workers, other low income workers, concerned citizens, clergy, and students. The association's goal is to develop permanent solutions to the problems involving farm workers and workers in small factories and shops who move in and out of the ranks of farm workers in Central New York. The association has operated in Central New York since 1974. The association offers emergency food, clothing, non-emergency dental care, preventative medical care, alcohol information, legal advice, child-care, and job referral assistance among other services. Many farm workers in the central New York area come from Mexico, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, and numerous other places in Latin America and the Caribbean.
