Ownbey, James A., 1854-1927.

James A. ("Colonel") Ownbey moved west to Colorado with his family in 1870. He represented J. P. Morgan's mining interests in the state for many years and in 1906 founded the Wootton Land and Fuel Company to develop coal fields in southern Colorado.
