McDonnall, James.
James McDonnall helped organize workers at the Des Moines Ordnance Plant in Ankeny, Iowa into United Rubber Workers Local 235 in 1942. He became business representative of the Des Moines Industrial Union Council, CIO, in 1946 and helped form the United Community Services of Greater Des Moines, where he taught union counseling and raised funds from local unions.
