Edwards and Bishop Booksellers and Stationers (Lancaster, Pa.)
William B. Bishop and Alfred S. Edwards established the partnership of Edwards and Bishop Booksellers and Stationers in Lancaster, Pa. on April 1, 1875. The store was located at 36 East King Street but ran into financial hardships not long after opening. By 1877, the partnership dissolved and the business was sold. Following the termination of their business, Bishop returned to managing his family farm in Strasburg while Edwards began working as a clerk in Lancaster.
