Bridgeford, William Sir, 1894-1971.
Soldier. Graduated from Duntroon Military College, 1915. Served in both World Wars. Commander in Chief, British Commonwealth Occupational Forces, Japan and British Commonwealth Forces, Korea, 1951-1953; General Officer Commanding Eastern Command, 1951. After his retirement from the army in 1953 he became executive officer for the 1956 Olympic Games.
