Rutter, Robert Lewis.
Mr. Rutter was an early Spokane businessman and banker. Born in Philadelphia and educated at the University of Pennsylvania, he first came to the west as a representative of a Philadelphia wool broker after graduation. By 1894, Mr. Rutter had joined the Spokane and Eastern Trust Co. He became president of the bank in 1916 and remained in that capacity until retirement in 1931.
