Uruguay Montevideo Mission

Mission was organized from Argentine Mission as Uruguayan Mission, 31 August 1947. Name was changed to Uruguay-Paraguay Mission, 10 June 1970, and to Uruguay Montevideo Mission, 20 June 1974. Missionary work was begun in Paraguay in 1948 under auspices of Uruguayan Mission, and Paraguay remained part of mission throughout period covered by this record series. Missionary work was begun in Peru in July 1956 under auspices of Uruguayan Mission, and Peru remained part of mission until Andes Mission was organized, 1 November 1959. (2019500 = unit number)
