Johnson family.
Charlotte Pettes Wardner was born to Allen and Minerva Wardner in the summer of 1824. She married Newbury, Vermont, native Alexander George Johnson, a noted journalist and lawyer who practiced in Troy, New York. He was the son of David and Lucy Towne Johnson. Alexander and Charlotte had children Helen M., George C., Lucy F., Jennie, Martha W. and Allen W. Martha married Allan G. Lamson of Shelburne, Massachusetts. Allen W. Johnson was a lawyer in New York City. After Alexander Johnson's death, Charlotte settled in Watertown, Connecticut.
