Alabama Conservancy
The Alabama Conservancy, the oldest state-wide environmental orgnaization in Alabama, was established in 1967. Its original focus was wilderness protection, but the focus has expanded to include solid and toxic waste reduction, recycling, and resource management. Central offices are in Birmingham, Alabama, with local chapters statewide.
