D.C. Citizens for Better Public Education
Variant namesThe D.C. Citizens for Better Public Education (DCCBPE) was established in 1965 to promote better public education in the District. It conducted studies and lobbied before Congress for improvements in public education. Some of the issues DCCBPE was concerned with included white flight, minority education, student rights, and centralized control of public schools.
