Wendell H. Hall was born April 10, 1923 in Ogden, Utah. He attended Ogden High School and Weber College. He served in World War II and then graduated from the University of Utah with a Master of Arts degree. He received a Fulbright scholarship and studied German Literature at the University of Vienna. He taught school at Weber College, the University of Utah, and Northland College. He later taught Spanish at Brigham Young University.
