Shinn, Allen M. (Allen Mayhew), 1908-1998
Allen Mayhew Shinn was born June 6, 1908, in Niles, California. He received his commission as an officer in the U.S. Navy in 1932, and advanced to the rank of vice admiral. He commanded the Naval Air Force, Pacific Fleet, from 1966 to 1970. Shinn died on April 4, 1998, San Rafael, California.
